Dr Sameera Chattun Koyratty

Dr Sameera Chattun Koyratty is a pioneering Mauritian leader dedicated to women’s empowerment and advancing gender equality in technology and STEM fields. She is the Founder and CEO of Safe Sha Training Centre Ltd, which provides IT training to a wide range of learners from children to professionals. In addition, she runs a family-owned business, Beach & Sportswear Ltd, and consults for a family restaurant business.

Sameera serves as the Mauritius Chapter Lead for Women in Tech Africa (WiTA) and is an international mentor through the Cherie Blair Foundation, having mentored over 300 women entrepreneurs worldwide. She is recognized for her commitment to breaking gender barriers, fostering positive mindsets, and supporting women entrepreneurs. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Universiti Putra Malaysia, an MBA from the University of Southampton and A doctorate in Business Administration. She also holds a CompTIA Project+ certification.

She is also active in developing digital platforms for mentoring women entrepreneurs locally and internationally and frequently speaks at conferences on topics related to women in technology and leadership. Her personal philosophy emphasizes resilience, continuous learning, and working hard to achieve success rather than just dreaming about it. She encourages a mindset of empowerment: “There is no defeat... Tomorrow is yours”
